Given it feels like it has been very cold for a very long time now, let me warm you up by rewinding to the back end of last summer and let’s cross the Channel and meander down through Brittany to the quaint village of Pluméliau. This is the wedding of CJ & Tom. Regular visitors to the blog may remember a preview I posted shortly after their wedding, well here’s a full post.
CJ’s parents have owned a house in Pluméliau for several years and visited regularly so it’s no surprise that CJ and Tom have a very fond connection to the place and decided to hold their wedding there. In the very sad wake of CJ’s mum’s passing, her Dad is actually set to move out to live there permanently but in truth he really is a part of the village already. The Bretons are such warm and welcoming people and over the years he became good friends with many of them and as such the wedding was very much an Anglo/French affair with a good number of neighbours in attendance. Indeed I actually stayed with a local couple while I was out there (giving me a chance to dust off my slightly rusty French) and they couldn’t have been more welcoming.
It was a wonderful day full of joy, love, wine…. lots of wine… friendship and superb local food!
Anyway, enough of ramblings… here’s some photos.
