Sheene Mill wedding // Hannah & Steve

Sheene Mill wedding

“Let it rain, let it rain, Let your love rain down on me” Eric Clapton

In England, the weather’s going to do what the weather’s going to do and as a nation we’re pretty good at embracing it and cracking on. The same mantra applies on your wedding day. I’ve yet to see the weather put a dampner (pun!) on a couple’s wedding and if anything a bit of rain can make things all the more memorable. That was definitely the case for Hannah and Steve’s Sheene Mill wedding in Cambridge. Probably the biggest downpour of the day struck during their lovely, emotive outdoor ceremony and it absolutely made it! Seeing guests singing and dancing under umbrellas was just awesome. Their evening reception was the maiden wedding at Lodge Farm – an exciting and impressive new barn venue for Cambridgeshire and man did they kick things off in style! These guys know how to party! I really struggled to drag myself away from that dancefloor…

And this was a particularly special wedding for me as a photo taken at it won me BEST UK WEDDING PHOTO 2014 at the Wedding Photo of the Year Awards. You’ll have to scroll to the end of the post to see which one. Thanks for having me along for the ride guys!

Oh John… Ridiculously good! I had to look at this set 3 times, back-2-back and still found little details. I really admire your work – you document in such a comprehensive and honest/beautiful way, and your processing is so on point. Just awesome 🙂
