I love a city based wedding or pre-wedding shoot for that matter. The bulk of weddings I shoot tend to take place in leafier surroundings so it’s always great to get the chance to work with the graphic geometry and different light that an urban setting offers. The opportunities for creative portraiture can be pretty awesome. Check out this engagement shoot in Leeds I did recently. The variety you can get into a set of portraits is pretty pleasing. On the 7th in Manchester is recent favourite amongst urban venues at which you can hold the wedding itself. The immediate area around Media City where it’s based is pretty unique. And I tend to be down in London once or twice every year. There’s no end of great venues there like Shoreditch House, Asylum and One Great George Street – all very different one from the next, depending what sort of thing you’re looking for.
