Is it just me or does each successive year go by more quickly than the last? 2019 just flew which means it must have been a cracker and on both a personal and business level it most definitely was for me. Plenty an adventure; good times with amazing people; new places visited; new friends made…
As I continue to look for the best life balance I can 2019 saw me set a lower limit on the number of weddings I took on to allow space for other work projects and personal plans. Quite frankly this was great and meant I was always fresh and bang up for each wedding. This pattern will continue going forwards so whilst it’s very much game on for 2021, if you’re reading this as a couple getting married in 2020 please don’t delay getting in touch as at the point of writing I’m only taking on another 5 weddings before closing the books for this year.
Aaaaanyway, I want to keep the chat brief because who’s got time to read a load of waffle? A few thanks and shout outs before I sign off though… To all the couples who placed their trust in me to capture their wedding in 2019 – it was truly a privilege and a pleasure! From the bottom of my heart – thank you! To my many and varied crazy, lovely and passionate photographer friends – you inspire me as artists, as business people and as humans. Wedding photographers are a special breed for sure! And thanks and mad love to my amazing little tribe – it’s never easy leaving you guys to go away with work but the flexibility this job affords means we’re able to go on some great adventures together and the memory cup is brim full from 2019. Love you always x
So here it is: a selection of my best uk wedding photography 2019, capturing all the love, fun, emotions, style, energy, joy and those funny little moments I’m privileged to witness by going to a load of weddings every year! I hope you enjoy and don’t forget to forward this link onto all your lovely recently engaged friends ;o)
I don’t know about you but I can’t to see what 2020 has in store. It’s a new decade and I’m strapped in and ready for the ride to continue. Catch you on the flipside….
“All the photos are just amazing!! You were amazing on the wedding day and we couldn’t have asked for a better photographer!” Sophie & Olly
“John was absolutely fantastic from start to finish; not only are his photos absolutely stunning, but he’s so knowledgeable and genuinely a really nice guy. He was such a pleasure to work with and we would highly recommend.” Jessie & Johnny
“Oh my goodness John, words just can’t describe how happy we are! We’ve had a look through them all tonight together and there have been lots of tears! Going to show the family tomorrow so I’m sure there will be even more then! Honestly John, we are just over the moon. I couldn’t have imagined anything better than these – it’s captured the day so perfectly. Thank you so so much!” Jenny & Dan
“We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer – honestly – so thank you! As a couple who aren’t necessarily comfortable in front of the camera, you were really easy to work with. In fact, I’d personally say that you were so much more than a photographer, actually. Someone to turn to for advice, super organised, a calming influence, and great fun to be around too.” Charlotte & Rich
“Wow John, we have just gone through them all and are blown away! You have captured the day so beautifully – they are amazing. Thank you SO much x” Kate & Simon
“John surpassed all of our hopes and expectations for our wedding photography and the photos we received were so much better than we even hoped for! Tom and I are both awkward people who don’t photograph well and so we were blown away that he managed to make us look so good! I felt more emotional looking back on the pictures than I did on the day as it flew by so I’m so pleased we have such an incredible set of pictures to re-live it.
Photos aside, John gave us some invaluable help and advice when planning the timings for the day and literally saved the day when all the timings went out of the window when the BBQ was late. He’s a genuinely lovely, happy and enthusiastic man which didn’t go unnoticed by our family and friends who also commented what friendly, helpful and great guy he is. I would recommend John without a doubt to anyone.” Eloise & Tom
“We absolutely love all the photos and just want to say a huge thank you for capturing our Wedding Day so perfectly!” Jack & Eliza
