I know it’s probably not great form to have favourites but for me Askham Hall has everything you could possibly want from a wedding venue! Nestled in the beautiful Eden Valley, a hidden little corner of Cumbria, the hall itself is stunningly decorated, oozing style and character and with gorgeous rooms offering plenty of onsite accommodation. The food is always outstanding – as well as being an amazing venue, the hall operates a Michelin starred restaurant which tells you all you need to know! And the all-important flow that adds so much to any wedding comes easily there. Choose to have your ceremony in the estate church, in the barn or outside on the lawn (I’ve seen all three and they work equally well!) before drinks in the hall’s reception rooms spilling out onto the lawn with views over the valley. The guests will then move over to the barn for the meal and party. The barn has west facing windows to bring in the evening sun and is the perfect size to contain the atmosphere for a banging evening party!
